Emotional regulation

You can call these sunglasses if you want:

glasses

They help me regulate my emotions.

I also utilize people, old photos, ai, and a whole lot of internal monologue, amongst other things.

I’ve been using a crazy ai prompt lately I want to tell you about.

I’ll type for 5-30 mins.. into a chatgpt prompt box… a whole story where I know.. there’s something deeply philosophical at play.

And then I’ll ask to tell me what the 5-6 philosophers I should probably “hear from” would say to me.

It’s magical, every time.

I don’t have any friends that can do that, unfortunately.

Every time, it’s like a wave of calmness that washes over me.

And I learn so much.

I was never a book person, I preferred podcasts.

Take memetic theory, for example.

I didn’t read Renee Girard books.

I listened to Luke Burris, of the book Wanting, describe it through what I’ll call Poetry.

And then I reached out to him...

You must break rule 1

Just don’t worry all day long about keeping your mouth closed when walking out and about in the world.

People stare, so what?

It makes life 100x more enjoyable.

Relax. Trust me. They stare in a good way, lol.

Been doing this shit for about 6 months. Trust lol.

P.S. I recommend getting comfortable wearing sunglasses at night so you get over your fear of perception problem.

You’re almost definitely trapped, in your own mind.

Good luck.

Maintaining your “god energy”

I find it so sad now every single time I see a friend go from incredible confidence to what I call “weakness” energy in the same conversation.

We’ve all seen it.

Someone will be on cloud 9, telling you about their wild success one minute, to saying something else minutes later with the cowardice of a street peasant living under a 17th century monarchy.

I like to try to keep my friends confidence up, and remind them of who they are.

It’s wild.. if you start to let your mind wonder, the voice in your head will turn into you worst enemy.

It will treat you like you are nothing, an absolutely nobody — suddenly and without warning.

Ignore it. Remind yourself of your many accomplishments.

You probably are good. Not great. Don’t like to yourself. But you can become great.

Develop a process.

Create a better relationship with that voice.

Be your own best friend.

Don’t let them steal...

Rush when you want

My friend Hunter and I always joke around and say shit like:

“No rush, take your time”

“Whenever you can”

“Zero rush energy”

To most people, these words have no meaning.

To us, they’re hilarious.

Hunter likes to joke, in a very serious tone:

I’m not worried, I’m very patient.

Because we think it’s simple, everything will play out exactly as it needs to, because we’ve prepared, we’ve noticed things, and are very confident, everything will fall into place.

What does that mean exactly?

Well, nothing evil or weird or menacing, I can tell you that.

We just think everything’s gunna be just fine.

Well, more than fine. ;)

Rush when you want, not for other’s.

You must stop worrying about what other people think of you.

They will fill the gaps in their knowledge with so many god damn assumptions that it’s guaranteed to drive you crazy.

If you keep playing the normal minigames —...

You’re trapped by perception

You should be focusing on inception.

It’s also kind of a funny word, right?

Incepting is giving someone else an idea?

Sounds more like it should be… the other way around?

Huh, that’s interesting.

Your attention is a weapon

Stop giving it to others for free.

Use it to better yourself & your life.

Don’t let anyone tell you where to place it, and don’t get sucked into playing the wrong game.

You want to be playing main game – not mini-games with the pieces of paper game, or the numbers on the screen game, or the fancy toys game.

For any gamers reading, I like to call it IRL RPG (credit to my friend Jade for coming up with that one).

You want to be creating your own games. Sure, you probably want a nice box to live in, you probably want the numbers on the screen to be large.

But stop getting sucked into shitty side-quests.

You’re a weapon. Your attention is as well.

Place it on things that matter.

And btw, when they stare, if you look back, they suddenly avert.

Use it wisely.

Treat the entire world like your living room

Walk around in flip flops.

Put zero effort into keeping your lips pursed while walking down the street.

Rest your hand under your waistband while walking in public (if you’re a guy) — it’s more comfortable.

Walk outside of the restaurant after you order and honestly whenever you want to smoke/vape (if you’re a nicotine lover).

Get some work done on the tables of closed restaurants in the nice downtown area at 10pm, if you’re done sitting inside all day.

Leverage your mind, body, physics, psychology, philosophy, biology, as you wish.

Tap your foot to the beat of your music while listening to music on headphones in public. Rock your body back and forth. Bounce your head.

Stop caring.

Just be polite as you do it.

Let ‘em stare.

Let ‘em talk.

Who cares?

Why wouldn’t you?

It’s better on the other side, trust.

Enjoy.
